SikaControl®-100 WT ET

Water resisting concrete admixture

SikaControl®-100 WT ET is a liquid water resisting admixture used to reduce the permeability of concrete.

  • SikaControl®-100 WT ET is chlorine free.
  • SikaControl®-100 WT ET combines with lime cement to form crystallization, blocking the capillaries of the paste making the concrete waterproof.
  • SikaControl®-100 WT ET has no impact on the setting time or the mechanical resistance of the concrete.

Usage

SikaControl®-100 WT ET has been specially formulated to produce high quality watertight concrete.
  • To produce watertight concrete for foundations, concrete slabs, basements, lift pits, swimming pools, reserviors, tunnels, rafts... etc.
  • For concrete structures designed to withstand the attack of selenite waters, sea waters, industrial waters or pure waters.

Technical Information

Concreting guidance

With the use of SikaControl®-100 WT ET, the standard rules of good concreting practice (production as well as placing) must be observed.

Fresh concrete must be cured properly, especially at high temperatures in order to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Use Sika Antisol products as a curing agent or apply wet hessian.

Dispensing

SikaControl®-100 WT ET should be added directly to freshly mixed concrete in the concrete mixer at the end of the batching cycle or along with the mix water. The concrete should be mixed thoroughly until a homogenous concrete mix is produced.

Compatibility

SikaControl®-100 WT ET is compatible with all types of Portland cement including Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC) and blended cements.

SikaControl®-100 WT ET can be used in conjunction with most of the Sika Concrete admixtures. Refer to the local Sika representative for more information.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

The recommended usage range is 0.7 to 2% by weight of cement (i.e., 0.7 to 2 liters per 100 kg of cement).

However, the optimum dosage to meet project requirements must be determined through trial mixes.
